Hunter Oil's deeply experienced acquisition and development team is led by Andrew Hromyk as its CEO and Director. The Hunter Oil Team is accountable, focused, and dedicated to the success of Hunter Oil; from the exploration, development, and production, to the wider community we serve and operate.
Since 1995, Mr. Hromyk has been President of Century Capital Management Ltd., an independent investment management and advisory firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a proven track record making strategic investments in private and public companies.
Mr. Hromyk has supported energy operations in the continental USA, as well as internationally in Papua New Guinea and Nigeria. Mr. Hromyk has served as a director of several private companies that became publicly traded on NASDAQ, NYSE & AIM. Mr. Hromyk studied Economics at Chaminade University and the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Denson brings nearly forty years of E&P experience to the Company beginning his career in 1976 with Amoco Corporation (now BP), where he served in various engineering, operational and management roles both in the USA and internationally over a twenty year tenure.
Mr. Denson has experience with both conventional and unconventional resources, and his current role is Chief Operating Officer and Partner of White Stone Energy LLC, which manages energy assets in multiple basins across the United States. Mr. Denson is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Denson earned both a BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana.
Mr. Strawn brings nearly forty years of E&P and Field Development experience to the Company. Mr. Strawn commenced his energy career in 1975 with Exxon and was part of a team that assembled 700,000 acres in South Texas. He is currently the managing partner of Tyler Rockies Exploration, Ltd., a privately held entity with operated assets in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.
Mr. Strawn completed his BBA from the University of Texas and is an active member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America and the East Texas Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Mrs. Scherz is a senior reservoir and production engineer with 30 years of experience in all aspects in industry including diverse reservoir engineering practice, economic evaluations, production and completions engineering, project planning and development, and downstream LNG projects. For the past 10 years she has worked on various projects in the Permian Basin including estimating recoverable reserves, property valuation, scoping and development of CO2 floods, development drilling evaluation, multidisciplinary field studies, full field project economics, and reserves reporting.
She has worked with Unconventional properties for 5 years including shale gas, coal bed methane and tight-oil reservoirs. She has worked in such locations: New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, the Gulf of Mexico Shelf and Deepwater, Mexico, Indonesia and Argentina. Mrs. Scherz is a Texas Registered Professional Engineer, License 78350.
Ms. Gillespie has over 40 years of financial experience in the oil and gas industry, most recently as Controller for a group of independent oil and gas operators with production in the USA, Gulf of Mexico, South America and Mexico.
She previously held senior financial management roles with a number of public companies including BPZ Resources Inc. and Petrohawk Energy Corporation. Ms. Gillespie has a BS from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mrs. Meeks has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in various administrative roles. Most recently, she was the Lease Records Supervisor with a Fortune 500 company.
She previously held support positions in the executive, drilling and exploration departments of companies in the oil and gas sector. Mrs. Meeks holds a BS from the University of Houston.
Ms. La Couvée brings over 20 years of experience as a Corporate Secretary, providing services for international publicly listed companies in the resource sector. She ensures effective board and shareholder communications, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, establishment of corporate governance policies, corporate finance administration, and corporate records maintenance.
She formerly held the role of Corporate Secretary with the Predator Mining Group and with Adriana Resources Inc. She is a member of the Governance Professionals of Canada.
Mr. Polishetty brings over twenty-five years of senior level executive experience to the Company. Mr. Polishetty began his career in 1989 with Oil & Natural Gas Corporation of India (ONGC) where he served as Deputy Director in its global procurements division. Since 1998, Mr. Polishetty has served as Managing Director of American Orient Capital Partners Group, a private investment company focused on long-term strategic investment opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr. Polishetty serves on the boards of several private international companies. Mr. Polishetty holds an MTech degree in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, with exchange studies at McGill University.
Dr. Ghertsos is a managing director with Prometheus Partners GmbH, a Swiss commodity services advisory firm specializing in the energy business. Dr. Ghertsos served as Director of Supply for Inver Energy Ltd. in Ireland and was previously a Senior Trader at MRI Trading in Switzerland.
Dr. Ghertsos holds a BSc in Oceanography and Marine Biology from the University of Southampton, a Matrisse (Master’s Degree) in Marine Ecology from the University of Paris VI, and a PhD in Oceanography and a DEA in Data Analysis & Computer Modeling from the University of Lille I.
